Frequently Asked Questions
Driver, vehicle and company details need entering only once — from then on they are filled in automatically wherever needed. Odometer readings come from the tachograph, stop locations from GPS. Some of the digital CMR’s full data does of course have to be given when the transport job is created, but that too only needs filling in once.
Every change made while filling in the driver log and CMR is timestamped and certified on a blockchain, so the changes and their timing cannot be altered — guaranteeing it is not a ‘filled in afterwards’ forgery.
The software comes as a mobile app in the driver’s hands and as a fleet-management web interface for the dispatch office, so it meets every need in organising and carrying out a transport job.
Phone-based Bluetooth download is compatible with the latest Stoneridge and Siemens/VDO tachographs. For more on tachograph software versions, read our article Mandatory security update for several smart tachographs — what hauliers need to know.
Our team is working to get it into drivers’ hands as soon as possible. To take part in the testing, subscribe to the mailing list so you hear about the latest developments!
A driver can use the app to download and analyse their card files, and to see how much driving and rest time they have left.
Fleet management is naturally most effective when a company has several drivers and vehicles, but these features are available in a driver’s individual subscription too.
The TachoAetr561 app is designed to accompany the whole haulage process — from route planning through the drive itself to the cargo arriving at its destination — backed by complete record-keeping and fleet management.
